Our office is tucked away at SCO 12-13, and it’s a fairly busy place most days of the week. We’ve been here for a while, so the walls have that worn-in look and the desks are often piled high with papers and ledgers. It’s not one of those fancy glass offices you see in magazines; it’s just a practical space where we get our work done. The stairs are a bit steep, and the ceiling fans hum constantly to keep the air moving. Most of us have been working together for years, so we know who takes their tea with sugar and who doesn't. We handle a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff for the company, dealing with suppliers and sorting out the logistics. It can get a bit loud when everyone is on the phone at once, but that’s just how it goes in a small SCO unit. We don’t have a big reception area with a fancy sign. You just walk in and you're right in the middle of it all. Lunchtime usually involves sharing food and talking about whatever is happening in the neighborhood. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power cuts out for a bit, but we just wait it out and get back to work. It’s an honest living, and we try to keep things simple and straightforward without any unnecessary fuss. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay organized.
