Sam Engineering Co operates out of Industrial Area Phase I, right on the Main Road at numbers 136, 140, and 76. Having a few units together helps us manage the different types of engineering work we take on. It’s loud, there’s usually some welding or cutting going on, and the floor is always covered in a bit of metal shavings. We’ve been working with machines and parts for a long time now. People bring in things that need fixing or parts that need to be made from scratch. We have some old machines that still work perfectly and some newer ones too. The location on the main road makes it easy for big deliveries to get to us, which is lucky. We don't really have a front desk person, so usually, you just walk in and talk to one of the guys working. It's a hands-on kind of environment. We spend most of our time looking at blueprints or fiddling with lathes. It can get pretty hot in the summer inside the workshop, but we’re used to it. We just focus on getting the measurements right and making sure the metal is treated properly. There’s no fancy lobby here, just a lot of tools and hard work. Most of our customers are other businesses nearby who need something repaired fast so they can get back to their own work. We just keep our heads down and do the job until the whistle blows at the end of the day.
