Raunsh Impex India (Opc) Private Limited is run by us from House Number 77 in Sarangpur Village. This is in Sector 14. Balbir Chand Sharma is the one who really got this going. It’s a one-person company, so it’s very personal. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of staff. We work out of a residential area because it’s easier and keeps costs down. Sarangpur is a nice place, quite peaceful for working. Our main thing is impex, which is import and export. It sounds complicated but it’s mostly just buying and selling across borders. We spend a lot of time on the phone and the computer. Since it's an OPC, the responsibility is all on one set of shoulders. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you knock on the door at House 77, you’ll likely meet Balbir or one of the family. We treat the business like a part of the household. It’s been a learning process figuring out all the rules for international trade. We just take it one day at a time. The village setting keeps us grounded. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big offices. We just want to do good business and stay honest. It’s a simple life and a simple business, and that’s exactly how we like it here in Sector 14. Being local means we don't have to deal with the heavy traffic of the city center every day.
