Rank Engineer

Rank Engineer is situated at 3205, Sector 31D Chandigarh. It’s a residential area mostly, so it’s a bit quieter than the commercial blocks. We use the ground floor of the building for our work. There are a lot of blueprints and technical drawings rolled up in the corners, and the tables are extra wide to fit all the gear. We started this because we realized many local students needed a bit of extra help with the practical side of engineering subjects. The room has a lingering smell of old paper and maybe a bit of machine oil from some of the models we keep on the shelves. It’s not a polished corporate office by any means. There’s a bit of a crack in the window pane that we’ve taped up, and the chairs are all different colors because we bought them at different times. Usually, it’s just me and a couple of colleagues sitting around discussing diagrams or helping a student figure out a tough calculation. We spend a lot of time just talking through problems. Sometimes we stay late, and the streetlights outside are the only things on in the whole block. People in the neighborhood know us as the guys who are always buried in books and drawings. We don't have a fancy lobby or a secretary. If you knock on the door at 3205, one of us will just come out and talk to you.
