New Punjab General Store

We've been here in Sector 29 at number 53 for quite a long time now. Most people around here just call us the shop at the corner. It gets pretty busy in the mornings when everyone realizes they forgot to buy milk or bread for breakfast. I spend a lot of my day just moving crates around and making sure the shelves aren't looking too empty. We try to keep a bit of everything because you never know what a neighbor might need at eight in the evening. Sometimes it's a specific spice for dinner or maybe just a notebook for a kid's school project the next day. The shop isn't very big, so things can get a bit cramped when three or four people are inside at once. It’s mostly just us chatting with the regulars about the weather or the traffic while we bag up their groceries. My hands are usually a bit dusty from handling the flour sacks and the dry goods, but that’s just how it is. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. It is just a regular place where you can get your daily things without a fuss. Sometimes the delivery trucks come late and we have to wait around, but we manage. Sector 29 is a decent place to be, and we know most of the faces that walk through the door by now. It’s just work, day in and day out, keeping the store running.
