Mod

Our office is over in Chandigarh, specifically in Sector 35 D. It’s on the first floor at 3007. If you know Chandigarh, you know the sectors are laid out pretty tidy, but our desk area is usually a bit of a mess with papers and coffee mugs. We’ve been operating Mod from this spot for a while. It’s a small team, maybe just a few of us on a good day. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just looking at the screen. The windows look out onto the street, so we see the traffic go by while we work. It’s a decent neighborhood with some food spots nearby for lunch. We don’t have a big reception desk or anything like that. You just walk in and someone is usually there to say hello. Sometimes the printer jams or the AC makes a weird noise, but that’s just how it goes in a real office. We handle our work as it comes in. There’s no fancy strategy meetings, just talking across the room to get things sorted. People in the building know us. It’s quiet mostly, except for when we’re all talking at once. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing till it’s time to go home. It feels like a normal part of the community here. There’s usually a stack of old magazines in the corner and the clock on the wall is five minutes fast, but it’s our space.
