Daftech Engineers Pvt. Ltd. is located at SCO-1-A in Sector 7 C. It's a corner building, so it’s easy for people to find us without getting lost in the sector. The office is exactly what you’d expect from an engineering firm. There are stacks of technical drawings, rolls of blueprints, and plenty of measuring tools scattered around. We spend a lot of time at our drafting tables or hunched over computer screens. It’s not a fancy place with a big lobby. You walk in and you're pretty much right where the work happens. The desks are large to accommodate all the plans we have to look at. We have a few older bookshelves that are sagging under the weight of engineering codes and manuals. It’s usually pretty focused in here, though we do have long discussions when a design isn't quite right. We don't bother with corporate polish or mission statements. We just try to figure out the best way to build things. There’s a small sink in the corner and a hot plate for making coffee. The floor is tiled and sometimes has bits of wire or paper scraps on it by the end of the day. It’s a comfortable enough spot, and we’ve grown used to the hum of the air conditioner and the traffic outside. We just show up, do the calculations, and head home when the job is done. It’s a straightforward way to spend the day. The shelves are lined with thick binders.
