M P General Stores

M P General Stores has been sitting here in Sector 17 for quite a long time now. We basically keep a bit of everything you might run out of at home, like flour, lentils, or those little packets of spices that always seem to disappear when you are cooking dinner. The shop isn't very large, and it can get a little crowded in the mornings when the milk delivery comes in, but we manage to fit a lot onto the shelves. Most of the people who come in live just a few blocks away, so we usually know what they are looking for before they even ask. My father started this place, and I just sort of took over after a while because it made sense. We don't have any fancy displays or a computerized billing system that works all the time, just a simple counter and some ledgers. Sometimes the lights flicker if it is raining hard outside, but the shop stays open regardless. People stop by to grab a soda or maybe some detergent on their way back from work. It is a noisy spot because of the traffic on road 35, but it is home to us. We just try to keep the shelves stocked so nobody has to drive too far for a bag of sugar. It’s just a normal neighborhood store where things are a bit dusty but always available when you need them.
