Kurlon Limited

Over here at 904 in the Industrial Area, Phase II, things stay pretty loud. Kurlon Limited is a name most people know for mattresses and foam, but back here in the industrial section, it is all about production. You can smell the materials as soon as you get close to the building. There are trucks lined up most mornings waiting to take the rolls and blocks out to the retailers. It gets quite dusty in some parts of the warehouse, so we are always cleaning up something. The office part is a bit tucked away from the main noise, but you still feel the vibrations when the heavy machinery is going full tilt. We spend a lot of time counting stock and making sure the sizes are cut right. It is physical work for a lot of the guys, and even for those of us sitting at desks, there is plenty of moving around to check on things. The tea break is the best part of the morning because we all gather near the loading dock for a few minutes. Phase II is a busy place with lots of other factories around, so there is always activity on the road. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. The building isn't brand new, but it works for what we need. We just focus on getting the orders out on time and making sure the foam is stored properly so it doesn't get ruined. Some days the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator, which gives us a small break.
