Krishna Chat Shop

Krishna Chat Shop is at number 120 in the Hari Om Market in Malerkotla. It’s a crowded market area, and we are tucked in with a lot of other small businesses. The space is quite small, mostly just enough for the cooking area and a few spots for people to stand and eat. It gets very hot because we are always cooking something over the heat. The smell of spices is always in the air. We start prepping the vegetables and the dough early in the afternoon. By the time the market gets busy, we are ready. It’s a lot of noise from the other shops and the people walking by. We have to shout a bit to be heard sometimes. The floor is old and a bit uneven, but it works for us. We don't have fancy menus or anything like that. People just know what they want when they see it. We spend most of the night cleaning up the grease and the spilled water. It’s hard work, and our hands are always busy. Malerkotla is a place where people love their food, so we stay busy enough. We don’t try to be anything other than a simple chat shop. We've been in Hari Om Market for a long time and the regulars know exactly where to find us at shop 120. Sometimes the supply of ingredients is late, but we manage with what we have.
