Kesarwani General Store

Up in Chandigarh, in Sector 4A, you can find Kesarwani General Store. We are on the ground floor of the Jetking Building at 96-97. Chandigarh is much more organized than other cities, so the shop feels a bit more structured too, but it's still just a regular general store at heart. Being in a building like this, we get a mix of office workers and people who live in the nearby flats. We carry all the standard stuff you would expect, like snacks, cold drinks, and basic toiletries. The ground floor location is convenient because people can just pop in and out without any trouble on their way to work. We have big glass windows at the front, which let in a lot of light during the day, though we still have to keep the tube lights on to see the labels clearly on the back shelves. It stays fairly clean here compared to stores on busier market streets. We spend a lot of time checking the expiry dates on the milk and bread because people in this sector are quite careful about what they buy for their families. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who take turns sitting at the counter and helping people find what they need. It’s a steady kind of life for us. We don't do much fancy stuff, just keep the shelves full and the fridge cold for the soda.
