Kamal Milk Foods

We’ve been here at 136/140/79 in Indl. Area Phase 1 for a while now. Most mornings start pretty early because that’s just how the milk business works. You can’t really wait around when the trucks show up. Kamal Milk Foods isn't a fancy place with carpets or anything like that. It’s mostly just us, some stainless steel tanks, and a lot of floor cleaning. The industrial area can get pretty busy, especially during shift changes, so we try to get our main work done before the traffic gets too bad. My desk is usually covered in delivery slips and old tea cups. We have a few guys who have been here since the start, and we all just kind of know what needs doing without talking about it much. Sometimes the machinery gets loud and you have to shout to be heard over the cooling units. It’s not glamorous work, but people need their dairy products and we are the ones making sure it gets out the door. The floor is always a bit damp from the washing, and there is that specific smell of fresh milk that never really leaves your clothes even after you go home. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily load. It’s a lot of lifting and checking temperatures and making sure the crates are stacked right so they don't tip over in the back of the vans. We just do the work.
