Gupta General Store

Gupta General Store is tucked away in the Industrial Area, Phase 3. It’s right near the Doordarshan Kendra, which is basically the landmark everyone uses to find us. If you see the big tower, you’re close. Working in an industrial zone means there’s always a lot of dust and trucks rumbling past the front door. We opened up here because workers in the area needed a place to grab things without heading all the way back into the main city. It gets pretty hot inside during the summer months, but we keep the doors open to catch whatever breeze comes through Phase 3. We’ve got shelves full of different items, and sometimes it takes me a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for. It’s not a supermarket; it’s just a local shop where we know most of the faces. The guys from the nearby factories come in for snacks or small supplies during their breaks. It’s usually quiet in the mid-morning and then picks up once the shifts change. We don’t do any fancy displays or anything like that. Things are just stacked where they fit. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the entrance for a bit, but people just wait or squeeze past. It’s a busy little corner of the world. We’ve been here long enough that the walls could probably tell a few stories about how this industrial area has grown over the years. We keep a simple ledger for the regulars. It’s just how we do things.
