Gift 34

Our little shop, Gift 34, is tucked away at Shop No 150 in Sector 22. If you know this area, you know how crowded the parking can get, especially on weekends when everyone is out shopping. We spend a lot of time arranging the shelves and making sure all the small items are visible. It’s a compact space, so we have to be smart about where we put things like the wrapping paper and the cards. Sometimes the bell on the door rings constantly, and other times it’s quiet for an hour while we just sit and check our inventory. We get a lot of students coming in looking for something cheap for a friend's birthday. The glass display cases need cleaning every day because of all the fingerprints left behind. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who take turns being behind the counter. The air conditioner hums a bit too loudly, but it keeps the place cool when the sun is beating down on Sector 22. We’ve got some regular customers who have been coming to this shop for years, and we know exactly what they usually look for. It’s not a high-end boutique or anything, just a local spot where you can find a bit of everything if you look long enough. We usually close up right on time so we can beat the worst of the evening traffic going home after a long day of sales.
