Chhabra Provision & General Store

Our store is at number 86 in Sector 24. It’s a typical local shop where we keep everything from bags of flour to bars of soap. The shelves are packed pretty tight, and sometimes things fall off if you aren't careful when reaching for them. We start the day early, usually around 7 AM, to receive the fresh milk and bread deliveries. It’s mostly my family and I running the place. We spend a lot of time weighing out lentils and packing them into smaller bags. The floor is made of old tiles that are a bit cracked in the corners. We have a small notebook where we write down what we need to order for the next week. Customers come in all day for small things they forgot to buy elsewhere. We do some home deliveries in the evening on an old bicycle when the shop isn't too busy. It gets a bit dusty with all the grain around, so we are always sweeping. We don’t have a computer system; we just do the math in our heads or use a small calculator. It’s a simple life, and we know most of our customers by their first names. Sometimes the neighbor's dog sits outside the door waiting for a scrap of something. We just keep moving and trying to get through the day's chores.
