Our place is at SCO 909 on the first floor in the NAC Manimajra area. It is right in the middle of a very commercial part of Chandigarh where everything is always moving and shaking. We are an LLP, so there are a few of us here working together to keep things organized. The office is basically one large room that we have divided up with some simple partitions to make it more functional. There is a lot of paperwork involved in the pharma business, so you will see stacks of folders and ledgers on almost every flat surface in the room. We don't have fancy leather chairs or anything like that, just standard office furniture that has seen a lot of use over the years. The light coming in from the front windows is pretty good in the morning hours. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to distributors and various chemists in the region. Sometimes the traffic in Manimajra makes it a bit of a trek to get here in the morning, but it is a central location for our trade. We handle the distribution and some of the coordination for various medicines. We try to keep things simple and honest with our clients. If a shipment is going to be late, we just tell people why instead of making up excuses. It is a small team and we all know what needs to be done. Usually, we end the day by making sure all the orders for the next morning are lined up. It is not a glamorous job.
