Anand Bricks

People usually find us because we are right on the Mohali Mumbai Poona Road. It’s a busy stretch and there is always a lot of dust from the trucks passing by. We have been running Anand Bricks from this spot for quite some time now. Dealing with bricks is heavy work and my hands are always a bit rough from it, but that is just how it goes in this trade. We spend most of our mornings organizing the stacks and waiting for the deliveries to show up. Sometimes the weather makes it hard, especially when it rains heavy and the ground gets all muddy, but we keep going anyway. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a yard with piles of red and grey blocks and a small desk where we keep the records. Neighbors stop by to chat or ask about prices for their home projects. We don't do much talking about being the top choice or anything like that, we just move the bricks and try to get the counts right. The traffic on the road is constant and you get used to the noise after a while. My nephew helps out on the weekends when it gets busy. It’s a simple way to make a living and we are okay with that. If you are driving down towards Poona, you’ll likely see our sign and the stacks before you even get to the main turnoff. It's just a regular yard where we do our work every day without much fuss.
