A.M. Classes

Getting up to the second floor at Sco-164 in Sector-38 can be a bit of a climb if you are carrying a lot of books. We are right there in Sector 38, near the Axis Bank, so it’s a pretty easy landmark for anyone trying to find A.M. Classes. The neighborhood is fairly quiet compared to the main roads, which helps when people are trying to focus. We spend most of our afternoons and evenings here. The layout is simple, just some rooms partitioned off so we can have different groups going at once. We usually have a pile of notebooks sitting on the desk and some old posters on the wall that have been there since we started. It’s not a shiny new office, but it works for what we need. Chandigarh has these specific sectors that all feel a bit similar, but Sector 38 C & D has its own little community. You see the same people at the tea stall or near the bank every day. We usually start our day by dusting off the tables and making sure the fans are working. It gets quite stuffy if the air isn't moving. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us making sure everything runs okay. Most of our time is spent talking through lessons or grading papers. It’s a basic, honest way to make a living, and we’re quite used to the stairs by now. Sometimes we even leave a bit late and watch the street lights come on.
