Tharali Krishak Vikas Producer Company Limited

We are a small group of folks here in Pastoli-Kulsari, just near Gopeshwar. It started out because a bunch of us in the village were doing the same thing with our crops and figured it was easier to do it under one name, which is Tharali Krishak Vikas Producer Company Limited. Being up here in Chamoli, the weather can be a bit of a pain sometimes, but we manage. Most days you’ll find us out in the fields or chatting at the village spot. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that, just a regular place where we keep our tools and paperwork. It’s mostly about getting the local produce to people who want it without too much fuss. Sometimes the roads are blocked, especially in the rainy season, so things slow down a bit. My neighbor helps with the accounts and I handle the talk with the transporters. It's not a big corporate thing, just local farmers trying to make a living and keep the soil healthy. We’ve lived here all our lives, so we know the land pretty well. If you ever find yourself passing through Kulsari, you'll see how we work. It’s a lot of manual labor and long hours, but it’s what we know. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to get a fair price for what grows here in our part of the hills.
