Himsampada Producer Company Limited is tucked away in Village Simli at House Number 00. We are in the Pipalsera area of Karanprayag, right near the petrol pump in Chamoli, Uttarakhand-246474. If you are driving through the hills, you’ve probably passed by us. We are a producer company made up of people from this region. Our office isn’t much to talk about, just a basic space where we can sit down and get our administrative work done. It is often a bit chilly up here, so we usually have a heater going while we look over the books. Most of what we do involves coordinating with the producers in the surrounding villages. We have to be very practical because the mountain roads can be unpredictable. We spend a lot of our time talking to members about their harvests and how we can get things to the market in a better way. We don't use any big words or corporate talk. We are just local folks trying to make a living and help our neighbors do the same. It is a lot of hard work and sometimes the paperwork gets a bit overwhelming, but we just take it one step at a time. We don't have any fancy signs or a reception area.
