Mahendra Engineers

I’m Mahendra and I run Mahendra Engineers over in Chakan at Pavan Nagar. We are located in Gala No 9 of the Navratna Building in Chakan Nanekarwadi. It’s right in the middle of the industrial hub, so there is always the sound of machinery and trucks moving in the background. The Gala is essentially a small workshop where we keep our tools and parts. It gets pretty greasy in here because we are always working on something mechanical. My hands are usually stained with oil by the end of the day, but that’s just part of being an engineer. I don’t have a fancy lobby or a place for people to wait, just a couple of stools near the workbench. Chakan is a busy place and being in Nanekarwadi means we are close to all the action. We handle a lot of small repairs and custom parts for the local factories. Sometimes it gets really hot inside the building, especially when we’ve got the machines running for hours, but we just open the shutters and keep going. I started this place with just a few basic tools and it has grown slowly over the years. I don’t have any big corporate goals, I just want to make sure the stuff we fix stays fixed for the people who rely on us. It’s a loud, busy, and dirty job sometimes, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
