Vijay Auto Agency

Vijay Auto Agency is located on Abdul Rehman Road, right in the middle of the Hari Singh Nalwa Street market. The address is 11/1125, but honestly, it’s easier to just look for the shop with the most stacks of gaskets and cables. This part of Karol Bagh is famous for car and bike parts, and we’ve been part of the noise here for quite some time. The shop is narrow and the shelves go all the way up to the ceiling. We have to use a ladder for almost every customer. It is a bit of a workout, I guess. We sell all kinds of auto accessories and spare parts to mechanics and people trying to fix their own vehicles. It’s always crowded on the street, and there’s barely any room to walk, let alone park a car. We spend most of the day leaning over the counter talking to guys about engine problems or which brake pad fits which model. It’s a lot of technical talk and sometimes a bit of arguing over prices, but that’s normal here. The floor is usually covered in some kind of packaging material by the afternoon. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know to come to Nalwa Street when they can't find a part anywhere else. It’s a dusty, loud, and busy way to make a living, but we’ve been doing it so long we wouldn't know what else to do.
