St Stephens Hospital

Working at St Stephens Hospital near Tis Hazari Court is always a busy experience. We see people coming in from all over Delhi every morning. It's an old place but it keeps running because there's always someone needing help. The hallways can get crowded when court is in session nearby. Most of us have been here for years. You get used to the noise and the constant movement. Sometimes the machines act up or the wait times get long, but that’s just how it goes in a big city hospital. We try to keep things moving as fast as we can. It isn't fancy here, but the doctors know what they are doing. People come here because they know where we are. Dealing with the heat in the summer is probably the hardest part of the job. We have our routines and we stick to them. It’s a lot of paperwork and checking charts over and over. You see families sitting in the waiting areas for hours. We just focus on getting through the patient list. It’s a job that feels real. No one is here for the aesthetics; it’s about fixing what’s broken or checking a fever. The building is right by the MG road area, so it’s easy to find but parking is always a headache for everyone involved. We just keep showing up and doing what needs to be done every single day.
