Sir Ganga Ram Hospital

This part of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital is over on Pusa Road in Rajinder Nagar. It is very close to the Karol Bagh Metro Station, which means we get a constant stream of people coming straight from the trains. Pusa Road is always packed with cars and the noise of horns is just something we live with every day. The building is big and stands out against the trees lining the road. Inside, it’s a bit of a whirlwind. We have different departments scattered across various floors and it takes a bit of walking to get from one end to the other. The floors are kept busy by staff and families 24 hours a day. It’s not the kind of place where you find much peace and quiet, but it is where things get done. We have benches lining the corridors and small stalls nearby where people grab a quick coffee or tea. The air conditioning works okay in most parts, but on a hot Delhi afternoon, it can still feel a bit stuffy inside. We don’t put up a lot of decorations or try to look like a luxury hotel. It’s a functional space for people who are often having a difficult day. We just try to keep the lines moving and make sure everyone finds the right room among all the different blocks and wings.
