Sir Ganga Ram Hospital

If you know the area near the Karol Bagh Metro Station, you know how loud it gets. That’s where we are, at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Rajinder Nagar. The noise from the trains and the traffic is just part of the background music for us. We show up every day and deal with the crowd. It’s a big place, and sometimes it feels like a maze if you aren't used to it. I’ve worked here for a while in Rajender Nagar, and I still find shortcuts through the hallways that I didn't know existed. We aren't here to give you a polished sales pitch. It's just a hospital. We deal with real people and real problems every hour. The lobby is usually packed, and there’s always someone looking for a specific department. We just do our best to point them in the right direction. Sometimes the weather makes the walk from the metro a bit of a struggle, but we all make it in. The staff room is small and usually smells like someone’s lunch, which is fine by me. We don't have time for anything that isn't practical. It’s about getting the charts filled out and making sure the doctors have what they need. It’s a lot of walking and a lot of talking. By the end of the day, your feet definitely feel it. But then you wake up and do it again and that's just life here.
