Right now, I am working through things at the HQ Tech Group EME in Delhi Cantt. The address is a bit of a temporary situation because things will change at the end of January, but for now, this is where all the work happens. Being part of the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers means there is always something that needs fixing or checking. Delhi Cantt has that specific military feel—very orderly, lots of trees, and wide roads compared to the rest of the city. It is a busy environment but in a very structured way. My daily life involves a lot of technical work, dealing with various machines and systems that the army uses. There is not much free time in this role, and when there is, it is usually spent getting ready for the next task on the list. The weather in Delhi can be tough, either freezing in the winter or boiling in the summer, but you get used to it after a while. I have been moving around a bit lately, which is just how it goes in this line of work. It is not like a regular nine-to-five job where you go to the same office for twenty years. You go where you are needed most. This current spot at the ATC is where I spend most of my hours lately, surrounded by equipment and colleagues who are doing the same kind of technical labor. It is hard work, but it keeps you sharp and the days go by fast.
