Scoops And Smoothies Foods is tucked away in Lane Number 5, right in the back side of Ghaffar Manzil Extension. We are up on the fourth floor of Plot 11, which means a lot of stairs since the lift is a bit moody and doesn't always work when you need it. It is a small operation where we handle our food business. Most of the time we are busy with blenders or checking on the freezer units to make sure they are cold enough. Being on the fourth floor makes it a bit quiet compared to the street noise downstairs, which is nice when we have to do the books. We don't have a big storefront with neon signs; it is more of a workspace where we get things done. Sameer Khan’s wife helps out a lot with the management side of things and keeps us organized. We started this because we liked making different snacks and drinks, and it just grew from there. The kitchen area is always a bit cramped, and there is usually someone washing dishes or prepping fruit. It isn't a fancy corporate office with desks and suits. We mostly wear aprons and just try to keep things clean. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to scramble to keep the freezers running, which is always a bit stressful. But the neighbors are good and we have made a decent spot for ourselves here. It is just a local food business trying to keep up with orders and make sure everything tastes right.
