Sant Parmanand Hospital

Located at No. 18 Shyamnath Marg, this spot in Civil Line is where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s a busy corner of the world, and there is always something going on. You might notice the entrance is a bit narrow, so we always tell people to watch their step when they are coming in from the sidewalk. The staff here is a mix of older folks who have seen everything and younger people just starting out in their careers. We talk a lot about the weather and the local news during our lunch breaks in the small breakroom. Sometimes the tea lady brings in extra snacks, which is always the highlight of a Tuesday. The walls are painted a simple off-white, and we try to keep the posters from peeling off, but the humidity sometimes wins that battle. It isn't a corporate office; it’s a hospital where people are actually doing things. We see a lot of familiar faces from the Civil Lines neighborhood, people who have been coming to us for their checkups for a decade. It’s nice to have that kind of connection with the community. We don't have a big marketing team writing fancy slogans for us. We just show up, put on our uniforms, and handle whatever comes through the door. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. By the time 5 PM hits, the shift change starts, and the whole place gets a second wind.
