S M Motors

S M Motors is out here in DLF City Phase I, specifically at O/8. We spend most of our time under the hoods of cars or lying on those little creepers on the floor. The place usually smells like old engine oil and rubber. It isn't a showroom by any means. We have tools scattered across the benches and there is always a car half-taken apart in the middle of the bay. Working in DLF means we see a lot of different vehicles coming through. Some days it’s just small repairs and other days we are stuck on an engine problem for hours. The sun beats down on the driveway in the afternoon so we try to stay in the shade of the roof as much as possible. We aren't big on talking much; we just listen to what the car is doing and try to fix it. People bring their vehicles here because we are local and they know where to find us. It’s not a polished corporate garage. We have a few old chairs for customers but most people just drop their keys and come back later. We get grease under our fingernails and that’s fine. It’s just what the work is. We’ve been at this spot for a bit and know the area well. There is usually a bit of a mess with tires in the corner, but we know where everything is.
