Rajesh Raina

This office is right on Teshil Lane, T 1 A, over in Tis Hazari. If you have ever been to this part of town, you know it is always crowded and there is a lot of shouting and moving around. It can be quite a lot to take in. My name is Rajesh Raina and I have been operating out of this small space for a good amount of time. The lane is narrow, so you have to be careful when you're walking through. Inside, the walls are painted a dull white and I have a heavy wooden desk that takes up half the room. It’s a bit dark inside even during the day, so I keep the overhead lights on all the time. I handle a lot of paperwork here, mostly stuff people need help with regarding the local offices. It is a lot of reading and typing and making sure the stamps are in the right place. I don't have a team or anything like that. It’s just me. I usually bring my own lunch and eat at the desk while looking through files. The noise from the lane never really stops, but after a few years, it just becomes background noise like rain on a roof. I stay until the sun goes down and the lane starts to quiet down a bit. It’s hard work, but it’s what I do. There is always more to be done tomorrow so I just lock up and go home. Every day feels a bit like the one before it but I don't mind.
