Keshava Singh & Co

Keshava Singh & Co is found at Darya Ganj on Netaji Subash Marg 3608. This is one of the older parts of the city and our office definitely feels that way. The walls are very thick and the ceilings are quite high, which keeps it a bit cooler. We have stacks of old files and books piled up on almost every surface. It is a bit dusty even if we try to clean it every day. I spend most of my time sitting at a heavy wooden desk that has been in the family for a long time. We handle a lot of paperwork and records that people need help with. It is much quieter inside here than it is on the street outside. Netaji Subash Marg is always full of cars honking and people rushing around. Inside the office, you mostly just hear the slow spin of the ceiling fan and the sound of paper being moved. I have a small stove in the back corner where I make tea for myself and the visitors. Most people who come to see us are older folks who have been our clients for many years. We usually sit and talk about old times for a bit before we start looking at the documents. It is a slow way of working, but it suits this place. I usually lock up the heavy door around six o’clock.
