Nanak Paneer Bhandar

Nanak Paneer Bhandar is right in the heart of the Subzi Mandi. It’s a place where things start very early in the morning, long before most people are even awake. By the time the sun is up, we’ve already moved a lot of crates and the floor is usually wet from the ice and water. We don't have a lot of furniture here, just the big counters and the cold storage areas where we keep the dairy. Everything smells like fresh milk and cream, which is something you get used to after a few days. The vegetable market is right outside, so there is a constant stream of trucks and carts moving around. It’s loud and it can be a bit messy, but that’s just the way it works here. We have people who have been buying their paneer from us for years, and they usually stop for a quick chat while we weigh their order. We don't have fancy packaging or big signs. Usually, we just wrap things up and hand them over. The knives are sharp and the scales are always busy. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected if the morning rush is heavy. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy containers and staying on our feet, but we like being part of the morning routine in this neighborhood. It’s just honest work in a busy market.
