Maulana Azad Medical College & Associated Lok Nayak Hospital

If you’re looking for us, you have to find Room 127 in the Department of Medicine. We are located on the first floor of the B.L. Taneja Block. This is part of the Maulana Azad Medical College and Lok Nayak Hospital, so as you can imagine, it is a very big and busy place. There are always people in the hallways, from doctors and students to patients and their families. Our little corner in the Taneja Block is where a lot of the medicine work happens. It’s a government hospital, so things are very functional. The walls have that standard hospital paint and the floors are worn down from thousands of feet walking on them every single day. It’s not a place for luxury, it’s a place for work. We deal with a lot of paperwork and a lot of patients. Being in Room 127 means we are right in the middle of all the action. You hear the announcements over the speakers and the sound of carts being pushed around. It can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it, but for us, it’s just where we go to do our jobs. We don't have time for fancy talk or corporate slogans. We just focus on the medicine and the people who need it. It’s a tough job sometimes because of the sheer number of people, but it’s what we do here in the B.L. Taneja Block every day.
