Jaggi Brothers

Our shop, Jaggi Brothers, is tucked away in Karol Bagh at 1926/42 on Hari Singh Nalwa Street. If you know this part of the city, you know it gets pretty crowded around noon. We’ve been operating from this same spot for a good while now. It’s not a very big place, just enough room for the stock and a couple of chairs for us to sit. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to move everything out of the way. Mostly, it’s just about getting the work done every day. We open up early, sweep the front, and start checking what needs to be sorted. Being on Hari Singh Nalwa Street means there’s always someone shouting or a rickshaw bell ringing outside. It becomes like background noise after a few years. People come in looking for specific things, and we do our best to find them in the back. Sometimes it takes a minute because things get piled up. We aren't trying to be anything fancy or modern. It’s just a regular local business where we know most of the faces that pass by. We have our regulars who stop for a chat even if they don't need anything that day. That's just how it is in Karol Bagh. We keep our records in old registers. It works for us. The tea guy comes at eleven.
