Amandeep & Bros

Amandeep and the rest of the brothers run things here at A95 in Paharganj. If you know the area near Jhandewalen Mandhir, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times. It’s a crowded spot, always full of people and noise, but that’s just Paharganj for you. We deal in various goods, mostly keeping stock piled up in the back rooms. It’s a family thing, so there’s always someone around to talk to. We don’t really use computers for everything; a lot of it is still written down in ledgers or just remembered. The shop is small and the shelves are usually overflowing. It gets dusty with all the traffic outside, but we try to keep it tidy enough. Customers come in looking for specific items and we do our best to find them in the piles. Sometimes it takes a minute. We’ve been in this building for years and know all the neighbors. It’s a busy life, starting early and staying open until late. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for deliveries. There’s no big corporate structure here, just us brothers making sure the business stays afloat. We’ve seen a lot of people come and go from the temple nearby. It’s a good location for us. We just keep things simple and keep the shop open every day. There is always a bit of a mess near the entrance with the new stock arriving, but we clear it out by evening.
