Out here in Partap Nagar, things move at their own pace. J C Bhalla And Company is located at J 42, which is right in the Andha Mughal area of New Delhi. The building itself is just a standard place where we spend our days. There is nothing particularly special about the outside of J 42, but it serves its purpose for us. Usually, there is a lot of activity on the street with rickshaws and people moving about. We have been in this spot for a long time now. The office is not very large, but we have enough room for the files and the computer. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but that is just how it is in this part of Delhi. We do not spend money on fancy decorations because it does not really matter for what we do. It is a practical workspace. Most of the people who come by are regulars from the neighborhood. We know the tea stall guy down the road and the people at the nearby shops. It feels like a small community even though we are in a massive city. That is just the way it works for us.
