Hindurao Hospital

Our hospital is located in Malka Ganj and it has been a part of this area for quite a while now. If you walk down the main street, you really can’t miss us. The building is older and shows its age in some spots, but it does what it needs to do. We deal with all sorts of people coming in every day from the local neighborhood. It gets pretty crowded in the mornings and the waiting area can feel a bit small when everyone is there at once. The ceiling fans hum constantly to keep the air moving, though it still gets warm during the summer months. We don't have a fancy reception desk with a computer for everything; we still use a lot of paper files and registers because that is just how we have always done it. The staff here are mostly local people who know the families around Malka Ganj. We’ve seen kids who used to come in for shots now bringing their own children. It makes the place feel like a community hub rather than just a medical facility. The street outside is always noisy with rickshaws and vendors, and that sound follows you inside a little bit. We try to keep things as clean as possible, but with so many people walking through, it is a constant job. We aren't trying to be a five-star hotel. We are just a hospital providing care to the people who live nearby. It’s hard work and the days are long, but we just keep at it because people depend on us being here.
