Hindurao Hospital

Hindurao Hospital is one of those places in Delhi that everyone has heard of at some point. It’s a huge site, and it’s been around for a very long time. Working here is different than working in a new, private clinic. It’s got that old Delhi character, with thick walls and high ceilings that try to keep the heat out during the summer. I’ve spent many afternoons here when the sun is just beating down outside, and inside it’s a flurry of activity. We don’t have much in the way of fancy lobbies or soft music playing. It’s a loud, bustling place with a lot of people coming in from all over the city and the surrounding areas. We’re pretty busy most of the time. There is always something to fix or someone to help. I think the people who work here are just used to the chaos. We don’t really use big words to describe what we do. We just show up, put on our uniforms, and start the day’s tasks. It’s a tough job sometimes, but it feels real. You see the real Delhi here. It’s not always pretty, and things don’t always go perfectly, but we keep the place running. It’s an important part of the city’s history, and we’re just the current group of people looking after it. It's just a regular old hospital doing its job in the middle of a very big city.
