Herald Electronics

Our place is located at 18/35 Basant Nagar in the Kishan Ganj area of Delhi. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but most people in the neighborhood know the building. The space inside is pretty simple, with a lot of older shelves and a counter that has been scuffed up over the years. We spend most of our time here dealing with various parts and pieces of equipment that come in. The overhead lights are a little bright, but they help when you are looking at small circuits or trying to find a specific part in a drawer. Outside, the street can get quite loud with the usual Delhi traffic and the sounds of the local market nearby. We open up Herald Electronics every day at the same time and just start going through the pile of things on the desk. There is usually a flask of tea sitting somewhere and the sound of the radio playing softly in the background. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that, just the main room where everything happens. It feels like a lived-in space because it is. We have been at this 18/35 address for a good while, and the walls are covered with old calendars and notes we’ve scribbled to ourselves. It is a practical setup for the kind of work we do here in Kishan Ganj, and we are used to the rhythm of the neighborhood.
