Bharat Electronics Ltd

Our place is at 110 Sector 21 C in Mandi Gobingarh. Most people around here know us as Bharat Electronics Ltd. Punjab can get very hot in the summer, and this sector is no different. The shop stays relatively cool because of the way the building is tucked in. We deal with a lot of local folks. There isn’t much corporate talk here. We just discuss what needs to be fixed or bought. The floor is made of that old grey stone that stays cold even when it's forty degrees outside. I’ve spent many years behind this counter, watching the kids grow up and start coming in as adults. The address isn’t hard to find, but the street numbers sometimes confuse people who aren't from this part of town. We keep a small radio playing in the background most of the day. It’s usually just the news or some old songs. There is a small tea stall just around the corner, and they bring us a cup every morning. It is a routine that hasn’t changed much over the years. We have a lot of old catalogs and manuals sitting on the shelves that we probably should throw away, but you never know when someone might need a part for an older machine. It is a quiet existence here in the steel city. We just stay open until the sun goes down.
