Gb Pant Hospital

This is the Department of Radiology inside Gb Pant Hospital. It’s a busy part of the hospital where we spend our days taking X-rays, scans, and looking at images. We don't have much of a storefront because we are tucked away inside the main hospital building. People usually find us after a doctor sends them over with a slip of paper. The rooms are filled with heavy machines and it can feel a bit cold because of the air conditioning needed for the equipment. We see hundreds of people every week, each waiting for their turn to go behind the curtain. Sometimes the machines need a bit of maintenance which slows things down, but we try to keep the line moving. It’s a government hospital so it’s always packed with people from all over. We wear our lead aprons all day and just keep going. It’s not the kind of place where you come for a chat, but we try to be kind to everyone who is worried about their results. We don't do much talking other than giving instructions on how to stand or when to hold your breath. It’s a very technical job, but we are all just regular people working here. We see everyone from little kids to the elderly. It’s not a glamorous place, but it’s an essential part of the hospital that helps the doctors figure out what to do next.
