Fashion Gallery & Craft Gallery is tucked away at 4445, Katra Raiji in the Main Bazar of Pahar Ganj. This area is famous for being narrow and crowded, and our shop is no different. We have shelves filled with all sorts of crafts and clothes, sometimes stacked so high you need a ladder to see what’s at the top. It’s a small space, so you have to be careful not to knock anything over when you walk through. We get a lot of travelers coming in, looking at the different patterns and hand-made items. It’s a bit of a maze in here. We spend our days rearranging the stock and talking to people who come in from all over the world. It’s not a polished retail experience. The floor is old stone, and the lighting is just some basic fluorescent tubes. We like it that way because it feels authentic to the neighborhood. Pahar Ganj has a very specific energy, and we are right in the heart of it. We don't spend money on advertising. We just open the shutters in the morning and see who comes by. Sometimes we sit on stools near the entrance just to catch a bit of a breeze. It’s a simple life of selling crafts and meeting new faces every day in this busy market. We’ve been here a long time and enjoy the daily noise.
