If you ever walk through the Ajmeri Gate Main Market, you’ll likely pass right by us at number 42. B Dayal Hardware Store has been a fixture here for quite some time. The market is always crowded, loud, and full of energy, and our shop is no different. We have shelves packed from floor to ceiling with all sorts of tools, bolts, and bits of hardware. It’s a bit of a maze inside, to be honest. If you’re looking for something specific, you usually have to ask because things aren’t always in the same place twice. We deal with everyone from local builders to people just trying to fix a leaky tap at home. It’s a small space, so when we get more than three customers at once, it feels very full. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just open the shutters in the morning and see who comes in. The counter is old and worn down from years of sliding boxes across it. We try to keep things organized, but in a busy market like Ajmeri Gate, things get messy pretty fast. We know most of the regular faces who stop by for their daily supplies. It’s just a traditional hardware shop where you can get what you need without any fuss. We stay open late because people always seem to forget a screw right at the end of the day.
