Arun Masala Industries

We have been here at Plot No.A-26 in the Anand Parbat Industrial Area for quite some time now. Most folks find us by looking for the Ramjas Pull since it’s right nearby. It’s a busy spot with lots of trucks and people moving around all day long. We spend most of our mornings getting the grinders ready and making sure everything is cleaned up from the day before. Making masala isn't a quiet job at all. The smell of chili and turmeric is everywhere here. Sometimes it gets a bit much but you get used to it after a week or two on the job. Our staff lives mostly around this part of town so they don't have far to travel to get to the workshop. We don't have a fancy office with big chairs or anything like that. It’s mostly just the machines and sacks of raw ingredients piled up against the walls. We keep track of everything on paper mostly, though there's an old computer in the corner that we use when we really have to. The neighbors are mostly other workshops doing metal work or plastic stuff, so it gets noisy on the street. If you come by, you’ll see us mostly busy with the packing or checking the spice quality. It's just hard work day in and day out. We try to keep the place tidy but with dust from the spices, it’s a constant battle. We just focus on getting the bags filled and sent out.
