Universal Motors

Universal Motors is located at Aa/7C Gali No. 4G. It is one of those narrow lanes that you might miss if you aren't looking closely. The street is always a bit crowded with parked scooters and people walking by. We have been here for a while and the neighbors all know us by the sound of our tools clanging against metal. Working on motors is a messy business, so there is usually a bit of oil on the floor and grease on our clothes. We don't have a fancy office or a place for people to sit and wait. Most folks just stand out in the lane and talk to us while we work. It gets pretty stuffy inside the shop when the sun is beating down on the roof. We have an old cooler that helps a little bit, but mostly we just sweat it out. We handle all sorts of motor repairs and it takes a lot of patience to find where a noise is coming from. Some days are busier than others. When it rains, the water sometimes pools at the entrance of the gali, which is a bit of a nuisance. We eat our lunch on a small wooden table in the back. It’s not a polished business by any means. We are just a few guys who know our way around an engine. We don't spend any time on marketing or anything like that. People find us because we’ve been here in Gali No. 4G for so long.
