Al Karim Doodh Sagar

The shop is at Kalan Mahal 1231 in Darya Ganj. We start very early here, usually before the sun is even up. Al Karim Doodh Sagar has been part of this street for a while now. It is a simple place with tiled floors and big metal cans. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood waking up while we handle the milk. Darya Ganj is always moving, and we are just right in the middle of it. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really bad, but inside we just keep doing what we do. We have some stools for people to sit on if they need a moment. The walls aren't perfect and there is always a bit of a damp smell because of the water we use to keep things clean. We don't have fancy signs or big lights. Most people just know where we are by the landmark. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans running all the time. Our counters are worn down from years of use. It is a plain business. We don't try to be anything else. We just show up every morning at 1231 and get to work. The tea shops nearby get their supply from us. It is just a regular life here. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to manage. We just keep the milk cold and wait for the day to end. It's how it goes in Darya Ganj. We are just local people selling milk to the locals.
