Advance Footwear

Karol Bagh is always a bit of a mess with traffic and people everywhere. Our place, Advance Footwear, is located at 14A/5 in the W.E.A. section. It’s a bit away from the main shopping street, which is a relief. The building is one of those typical Karol Bagh structures where every floor has a different business. We are tucked away in there. It’s mostly about shoes and making sure the orders are filled correctly. The space is filled with boxes, often stacked up to the ceiling. We don't have a fancy showroom. If someone wants to see the footwear, we just pull a box out and show them right there in the middle of the room. It’s a bit chaotic but we know where everything is. The neighborhood is full of people doing similar stuff. You can hear the sounds of the market and the cars honking all day long. We’ve been here at 14A/5 for a long time, so we know all the local shopkeepers and the guys who deliver the tea. It’s a tight-knit community in a way. We just keep doing our thing, making shoes and getting them out. It’s not a corporate office with meetings and presentations. It’s just us, the shoes, and the daily grind of the Karol Bagh market life. We don't have many visitors, but when we do, we usually offer them some water and a stool to sit on.
