Pacific Junior College Badarpur

Located right on S.T. Road in Badarpur, our junior college is a busy place. If you know this area, you know how much traffic passes through on that main road. The college is right in the thick of it. We mainly focus on the 11th and 12th graders who are trying to figure out what to do with their lives. It is a stressful time for them, so we try to keep things grounded. The building isn't huge, but we make use of every corner. You will find students sitting on the stairs or in the small corridors going over their notes before a test. We have a few simple labs for science, and they are usually quite busy with students trying not to break the equipment. The teachers here are local and they understand the challenges students face in this part of India. We don't have any fancy air conditioning or marble floors. It is just brick and mortar and a lot of chalkboards. During the rainy season, the sound of the rain on the roof can get quite loud, sometimes drowning out the lectures. People in Badarpur know us as a place where you go to get your higher secondary education without any unnecessary fuss. It is about getting the work done and getting those passing marks. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the kids are actually learning something useful for their future.
