M A Laskar Junior College is over on Changkuri Road in Silchar. We are right near Bhaga Bazar, which is always a busy spot with people buying and selling things. The college building is a simple structure. Since it’s Silchar, we deal with a lot of rain during the monsoon, and the road can get a bit muddy. The students come from the surrounding villages and the town itself. It’s a junior college, so we focus on the eleventh and twelfth grades. The classrooms are basic, just desks and a platform for the teacher. We have a small notice board that is always covered with paper announcements. The office is usually busy with students asking about their forms or fees. You can hear the sounds of the market and the traffic from the classrooms. It’s not a quiet place, but it has a lot of energy. Most of the staff have been here for years and know the families of the students. We don't have any fancy facilities, just the essentials needed for teaching. The atmosphere is very down-to-earth. Students usually gather outside the gate on Changkuri Road after their classes are over for the day. It’s just a local college where people come to study and move on to the next part of their lives. We don't make a big fuss about anything. Everything is done in a very straightforward, local way that fits our neighborhood.
