If you are driving on the Indore Khandwa Road and pass through Sanawad, you will see our place right across from the police station, or Thana Ke Samane as we say. Samrudha Kisan Farmers Producer Company Limited is based right there. It’s a busy spot because of all the traffic moving between Indore and Khandwa. We chose this location because it’s easy for farmers to pull over and talk to us while they are moving their goods. The office is usually filled with the sound of trucks passing by. We are a company made of local farmers who wanted to do things a bit differently. We don't have fancy brochures or a marketing team. We just have a desk, some chairs, and a lot of registers to keep track of what’s going on. Dealing with the heat in Sanawad is just part of the job. Most days involve talking to people who stop by to ask about seed prices or where to sell their grain. It’s a very hands-on type of work. We handle a lot of the logistical headaches that individual farmers usually have to face alone. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to do everything by hand, but we are used to that. Being right on the main road helps us stay connected to what’s happening in the bigger markets nearby. We try to be around whenever someone needs a bit of help with their paperwork or transport.
